Privacy
Your family's information, held the way a family friend would hold it.
This page is both our legal-required privacy notice and the plain-language version of what we actually do. We wrote it to be readable by the person who shared the information, not by the lawyer who drafted it for someone else.
What we collect.
The information a family shares when planning a trip through us typically includes: names and ages of everyone traveling, dates, kashrus standard, medical or accessibility needs that affect room assignment, dietary restrictions, family-dynamic context relevant to room placement, and payment information required to hold bookings.
We only collect what the trip actually requires. We don't ask for information we don't need.
How we use it.
Your information is used to plan and operate your trip — confirming the hotel, matching rooms to people, coordinating kashrus with the hotel kitchen, arranging Shabbos protocols, and handling payment. It is shared with the hotel only to the extent the hotel needs to serve your family.
We do not share your information with other families. We do not use one family's story — photographs, anecdotes, names, or circumstances — to market to another family. Testimonials on our materials are used only with explicit written consent.
How long we keep it.
Trip-operational information is kept as long as the trip is active plus a reasonable window afterward for accounting, refunds, and follow-up. For returning families, we retain profile information (ages, preferences, past trips) so we don't ask the same questions twice.
Any family can request at any time that we delete their records. Medical and dietary details are the most sensitive and we remove them first on request.
How we protect it.
Family information is stored in access-controlled systems. Payment information is processed through standard payment processors — we don't store credit card numbers on our own systems. We use two-factor authentication on every system that touches family data.
If we ever have a security incident that affects your information, we will tell you, specifically and promptly — not in legalese, and not hidden at the bottom of a mass email.
Cookies on this website.
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell or share analytics data. If you'd rather opt out, any standard browser Do-Not-Track setting is honored.
Your rights.
You can ask us, at any time, to show you what we have on file about your family, correct anything that's wrong, or delete all of it. Email us at booking@jrmhotels.com and we'll respond within one business day.
If you're in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), those rights apply — email us and we'll honor them without friction.
