Why it’s in our collection
Two hundred ninety-eight rooms, a Shabbos elevator, an on-property minyan, and direct indoor access to Center One — the natural home for larger families and groups.
Jerusalem Gate Hotel is a 298-room property at 43 Yirmiyahu Street in Romema, at the entrance to Jerusalem — built in 1988 and since renovated. The hotel is under Badatz Mehadrin Rabbanut Yerushalayim kashrus supervision (Glatt Kosher LeMehadrin) and also holds OU certification — a combination that serves families across a range of kosher standards. Jerusalem Gate is the most affordable of the four JRM Hotels.
The frum infrastructure is unusually complete for a hotel at this price point: an on-site synagogue with a Sefer Torah and both Ashkenaz and Sefard siddurim, a Beit Midrash, a free on-site men's mikveh for guests (Sunday–Thursday 9:00–15:00, Friday 9:00–14:00), a Shabbos elevator, and a gym with separate hours. For groups taking 25 or more rooms, the hotel can arrange Rav Landau or Eida HaChareidis supervision at extra cost — a real option for chassidish and yeshivish group organizers.
