Updated June 10, 2026 · 13 verified hotels · every hechsher named
Every kosher hotel in Tiberias, verified at the source.
Tiberias is where "kosher hotel" lists are most dangerous — two hotels that appear in kosher roundups are not kosher at all: the Ron Beach's own website describes its meals as non-kosher, and the Restal has no certificate. Meanwhile the agency sites label half the city "mehadrin" — claims that collapsed when we checked the hotels' own statements.
The honest picture: three real mehadrin options (Kinorot under Badatz Eida HaChareidis, Nof Kinneret under Rabbanut Tiberias Mehadrin, and the Kinar Galilee resort across the lake), and ten solid standard-Rabbanut hotels — with the Leonardo Plaza holding the best-documented Shabbos setup of the mainstream tier.
The verified list
Every Kosher Hotel in Tiberias, by Hechsher
Each certification below was checked against the hotel's own current kashrus statements or Rabbanut-level sources on June 10, 2026 — the verification source is on file for every entry. Hotels we could not verify as fully kosher are not listed as kosher, period.
Hechsher overlays (Chalav Yisrael, Pas Yisrael, yashan) and seasonal arrangements vary by hotel — confirm them for your dates. This page is part of our verified Israel kosher-hotel map.
Mehadrin
The three options that survive verification — one Badatz Eida HaChareidis boutique in the city, one mehadrin hotel under the Tiberias Rabbinate's elevated tier, and the famous chareidi resort across the lake.
The fine print:Opened 2017, built for the chareidi market — the highest-hechsher hotel in Tiberias; chef dining under Eida supervision.
Shabbos:Year-round indoor heated pool (separate-use norms — confirm schedule) · spa and gym · built for frum clientele
Best for:Families and groups who specifically need Eida HaChareidis in Tiberias
formerly the Bali Hotel
The fine print:Mehadrin under the oversight of R' Binyamin Madar (the Rabbanut Tiberias mehadrin supervisor); markets itself squarely to the religious public.
Shabbos:Heated pool with arrangements for religious guests — confirm the separate-hours schedule directly
Best for:Frum families who want true mehadrin inside Tiberias at a mid-range price
the long-standing chareidi Kinar resort — note: on the NORTHEAST Kinneret shore, ~20 minutes from Tiberias
The fine print:All products mehadrin; meat and poultry available in Eida HaChareidis / She'erit / Landau / Rubin options; shmita l'chumra.
Shabbos:Shul with sifrei Torah and siddurim for all guests · mikveh · eruv · daily minyanim year-round · mehadrin Shabbos program
Best for:Chareidi and heimishe families wanting a full mehadrin lakefront resort vacation
Rabbanut Tiberias (standard)
Fully kosher hotels under the Tiberias Rabbinate. The agency-site "mehadrin" tags on several of these failed verification — each hotel's own statement says standard Rabbanut (Caesar adds chalak/glatt meat).
The fine print:The best-documented Shabbos setup in the mainstream tier — all stated in Fattal's own FAQ. Aggregator "mehadrin" labels for its restaurant were not credited.
Shabbos:Shabbos elevator · on-site shul plus three more in walking distance · Shabbos key-card arrangement at check-in
Best for:Shomer-Shabbos guests wanting the strongest mainstream Shabbos infrastructure in the city
The fine print:All meals kosher under Rabbanut Tiberias per Fattal's own page.
Shabbos:On-site shul · hot-water urn (meicham) in the dining room for Shabbos · elevator not explicitly stated
Best for:Families who want kosher all-inclusive — no food logistics all Shabbos
The fine print:The official site states the Rabbanut certificate with glatt meat. Kosharot classified it standard-Rabbanut; agency "mehadrin" labels not credited.
Shabbos:Shabbos elevator · on-site synagogue (both in the official services list)
Best for:Mainstream kosher-keeping families wanting a full-service promenade hotel
The fine print:Certificate verified via teudah listings; the famous draw is the water park.
Shabbos:Synagogue on premises · kosher dining room and room service
Best for:Families — the only kosher hotel in Tiberias with its own water park
formerly Hotel Hamei Tiberias
The fine print:Restaurant and bar kosher under Rabbanut Tiberias per the official page.
Shabbos:Not stated in sources — ask the hotel directly before a Shabbos stay
Best for:Families wanting lawns, kids' club, private beach, and the hot springs next door
The fine print:The official about-page states standard Rabbanut; agency "mehadrin" marketing not credited.
Shabbos:On-site synagogue · special-diet meals with advance notice
Best for:A larger pool-and-spa resort near the southern beaches
The fine print:Certificate from the Rabbanut and Religious Council of Tiberias. The widely-repeated "mehadrin" label failed verification — the official kosher page says standard Rabbanut.

Shabbos:Not stated on the official site — confirm directly
Best for:Couples and small families wanting a quiet kosher boutique by the water
The Two Famous Hotels That Are NOT Kosher
This matters more in Tiberias than anywhere else. Ron Beach Hotel — its own official website describes its meals as non-kosher, despite appearing in several "kosher Tiberias" roundups and one agency page claiming Rabbinate supervision. Restal Hotel — no certificate, non-kosher restaurant, absent from every kosher directory we checked. Two more (Europa 1917 and Club Hotel Tiberias) are likely kosher but could not be verified to a named certifier — so they're not listed. The official site always overrides the roundup.
Shabbos in Tiberias, Practically
The promenade cluster works well for Shabbos: the Leonardo Plaza documents its Shabbos elevator, key arrangement, and four shuls in reach; the Leonardo Club's all-inclusive board plus dining-room meicham removes every food question; the Caesar adds a shul and Shabbos elevator. For a mehadrin Shabbos with daily minyanim, eruv, and mikveh on the grounds, the Kinar across the lake is the only complete package.

Kosher Hotels in Tiberias — Questions Families Ask
Which hotels in Tiberias are kosher?
As of June 2026, the verified kosher hotels are: Kinorot (Badatz Eida HaChareidis food), Nof Kinneret (Rabbanut Tiberias Mehadrin), Kinar Galilee (mehadrin, NE shore), and — at standard Rabbanut Tiberias — Leonardo Plaza, Leonardo Club, Leonardo Tiberias, Caesar Premier, Gai Beach, Lake House, Royal Plaza, Astoria Galilee, Golan, and Emily's Boutique.
Is the Ron Beach Hotel in Tiberias kosher?
No. The Ron Beach's own website describes its meals as non-kosher, and guest reviews confirm there is no supervision — despite the hotel appearing in several online "kosher Tiberias" lists. The Restal Hotel is likewise not kosher.
Which Tiberias hotels are mehadrin?
Three real options: Kinorot (food under Badatz Eida HaChareidis — the highest standard in the city), Nof Kinneret (mehadrin under the Rabbanut Tiberias mehadrin supervisor), and the Kinar Galilee resort on the northeastern shore (~20 minutes away; mehadrin under R' A.D. Auerbach with Eida/She'erit/Landau/Rubin meat options, mikveh, eruv, and daily minyanim). The Astoria, Caesar, Royal Plaza, and Leonardo Plaza are often called mehadrin by agencies — their own statements say standard Rabbanut.
Which Tiberias hotel is best for a frum family on Shabbos?
In the city: the Leonardo Plaza has the best-documented Shabbos setup (elevator, Shabbos keys, shul on site and three nearby), and its all-inclusive sister Leonardo Club adds a hotplate and hot-water urn in the dining room. For a fully mehadrin Shabbos environment, Kinar Galilee across the lake is the complete package.
