The fine print
Concierge booking terms
Last updated August 5, 2026.
These terms cover reservations placed through the JRM Concierge at jrmhotels.com/concierge. They supplement our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. How your reservation works
When you place a reservation, nothing is paid and no payment card is taken. Your price is locked at reservation time: one set figure in US dollars for the stay you selected, shown before you reserve, together with the shekel price it covers. Our concierge then confirms your exact room with the hotel personally. Only once the room is confirmed do you receive a secure payment link for exactly the locked amount, and completing that payment books the stay. If JRM does not confirm by the deadline shown when you reserve (24 hours, extended over Shabbos and Yom Tov to the next working morning), the request closes automatically and you owe nothing.
After the room is confirmed, we hold it for you until the payment deadline named in your confirmation email (24 hours, extended over Shabbos and Yom Tov in the same way). If the payment has not arrived by then, the room is returned to the hotel, the payment link stops working, and you owe nothing. We email you either way.
2. If a reservation cannot be confirmed
In the uncommon case that JRM does not confirm a reservation (for example, if the property cannot honor the requested dates), nothing was ever paid and there is nothing to undo. JRM will contact you with alternatives; you are under no obligation to accept them.
3. Prices, currency, and VAT
Concierge prices are set by JRM as one set price in Israeli shekels for the stay you selected: per room, per date band, and per person where the hotel's card prices extra adults, children, or babies. Because payment is collected in US dollars, your exact dollar figure is set by JRM at reservation time from that shekel price at that day's exchange rate plus 3%, which is what lets JRM carry the currency risk and hold your dollar figure still. It is shown to you before you reserve and it does not move afterward: the dollar amount you reserve at is the dollar amount the payment link bills, to the cent. Israeli law exempts tourists from VAT on hotel accommodation and charges it to Israeli residents, so every JRM price is stated either as a tourist price or as an Israeli-resident price that includes 18% VAT, and it applies to the audience it names. The hotel verifies tourist exemption at check-in (passport and entry visa). Prices apply to the room, dates, and occupancy selected. Hotel incidentals (minibar, spa, phone, and similar) are payable to the hotel directly and are not part of the JRM price. A municipal or governmental levy introduced after you reserve is absorbed by JRM for your stay; only prices quoted afterward reflect it.
4. Changes and cancellations
Before your payment is completed, you may cancel at no cost: nothing was paid, and the payment link is simply cancelled. After payment, the following windows apply, measured to your check-in date:
- Free cancellation until 14 days before check-in.
- Between 14 and 7 days before check-in, your first night is retained (every room, plus the per-person lines).
- Under 7 days before check-in, the stay is non-refundable.
Stays whose dates fall in a Yom Tov season or another peak window the hotel prices seasonally (for example bein hazmanim in the summer) carry their own cancellation windows. For instantly bookable hotels, your reserve screen shows the windows that apply to your exact dates before you reserve; a personally priced stay carries its windows in the written quote you approve:
- Yom Tov and peak-season stays: free cancellation until 30 days before check-in.
- Yom Tov and peak-season stays: between 30 and 14 days before check-in, your first night is retained (every room, plus the per-person lines).
- Yom Tov and peak-season stays: under 14 days before check-in, the stay is non-refundable.
Days are counted as calendar days in Jerusalem, from the day you cancel to your check-in day.
Where one night is retained, it is your stay’s first night exactly as you booked it: the room price for every room, plus the per-person lines (extra adults, children, babies) shown on your reserve screen. The dollar amounts follow the same proportions as your locked price, and the refund and retained figures always sum to exactly what you paid. Refunds are sent back by bank transfer or to the card, whichever your payment allows, and a person moves the money by hand rather than a machine. Date changes are handled personally by our concierge and priced from the same rate table you booked from.
5. Your details and how payment is handled
The contact and preference details you provide are used to arrange and confirm your trip, and are shared with the hotel and service providers only as needed to deliver it. The payment page is run by Mercury, the US banking platform we bank with. It accepts US bank transfer (ACH). The page and your statement show our US travel company, Air Today Travel Inc. That is us. JRM never sees or stores card numbers.
6. The concierge relationship
JRM acts as your booking agent and concierge. The hotel provides the accommodation; JRM provides the arrangement, the guarantee of the quoted price, and personal service before, during, and after the stay.
