Pesach · Passover hotels

Passover hotels — kosher Pesach programs you can actually trust.

Searching “passover hotels” usually means a full Pesach program: sedarim, Yom Tov meals, a dedicated kitchen standard, and a hotel that knows frum logistics. This page is the decision layer — Jerusalem depth lives on our Pesach in Jerusalem guide.

What you are buying

A Passover hotel is not “any kosher hotel open in April.” It is a seasonal product: kitchen kashered or dedicated for Pesach, meal plan designed around seder nights and Yom Tov, and written policies on gebrochts, kitniyos, matza (shmura), and wine. Families who skip those questions end up in the wrong dining room for their minhag.

JRM’s core placement for Anglo frum families is Jerusalem — walking access to the Old City on Chol HaMoed, dense minyan options, and hotels we book year-round so kashrus is not a one-week experiment. Programs also exist on the coast and north; we place those when the trip purpose is not Jerusalem-first.

How to choose a Passover hotel (checklist)

  1. Hechsher for Pesach — year-round Badatz does not auto-define every Pesach detail; confirm the program certificate and mashgiach arrangement.
  2. Gebrochts & kitniyos — the two most common mismatches. Ask in writing for your dates.
  3. Seder seating & multi-gen rooms — connecting rooms, accessibility, and who sits together at the seder.
  4. Timeline — book from Cheshvan; by late winter first-choice categories are often gone.
  5. Budget band — full-board mehadrin programs in Jerusalem commonly run roughly $400–$1,200 per person per night depending on hotel and category; a family of five for ~10 nights often budgets in the tens of thousands all-in.

Planning Passover 2027 (5787)? Start with dates, headcount by generation, and your gebrochts/kitniyos minhag — we match the program, not just a room.

Common questions

Passover hotels vs regular kosher hotels+

A year-round kosher hotel may still need a dedicated Pesach kitchen and program contract. Do not assume breakfast-only kashrus equals a full Pesach program.

When is Pesach 2027?+

Pesach 5787 / 2027 falls in April 2027 (Israel keeps 7 days; diaspora guests often stay through the 8th). Exact check-in packages vary by hotel — we quote nights once your family calendar is set.

Can JRM book only seder nights?+

Some hotels sell short blocks; many peak programs prefer full or near-full packages. Tell us the minimum nights you can stay and we find what is still realistic for the year.

Dates, headcount, hechsher, gebrochts/kitniyos — we turn that into a written hotel match for Pesach in Jerusalem (or an honest alternative if Jerusalem is sold out of your tier).
