What a Chayei Sarah Shabbaton Looks Like
- Thursday: Parents land, check in.
- Friday morning: Some yeshivos host a formal father-son breakfast; otherwise Friday is free.
- Friday night: Your son may be at the hotel seudah with you, or at a host family the yeshiva placed him with — ask him two weeks out.
- Shabbos morning: Your son davens at the hotel with a visiting-fathers minyan many hotels run that Shabbos specifically.
- Shabbos afternoon: A formal Rosh Yeshiva shiur for parents — the highlight most families report.
- Motzei Shabbos: Melaveh malka at the yeshiva or at the hotel.
- Sunday morning: Father accompanies son to shacharis and first seder, if time permits before the flight.
- Sunday afternoon: Departure.
